Senior Accountant
Priddy Holifield Ables, PA seeks to hire Senior Accountant. Duties: Supervise accountants, bookkeepers and payroll specialists. Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries. Review, prepare, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes. Review and perform account reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and other accounts. Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support management decision-making. Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and exempt organizations. Research and apply complex tax laws and regulations. Stay up to date on relevant tax code changes. Work within a team to examine client accounting processes and develop tests to ensure those processes are functioning as intended. Communicate with business owners and managers concerning various aspects of their businesses. Assess internal controls and document understanding and findings, to include recommending process changes. Prepare working papers, checklists, and questionnaires that meet the requirements of generally accepted auditing standards.
